Community Summary: 

Talega is located in the hills above San Clemente, the “Spanish Village by the Sea”, on the Southern California Coast, midway between Orange County and San Diego. San Clemente features world-renowned
beaches and surfing spots.


Talega is a premier master planned community celebrating its 25th anniversary. The master Association is comprised of 3,864 homes. Talega is surrounded by beautiful mountains, open spaces and has plenty of outdoor trails for residents to explore.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

The Architectural Coordinator takes a lead role and is responsible for consistently providing outstanding customer service and serving as the point person for homeowner interactions while facilitating the community’s architectural submittal processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive working relationships with fellow Team Members, Homeowners, and Visitors.
  • Is the Associations subject matter expert in the design review process and architectural guidelines.
  • Follow the proper architectural procedures as outlined in the Association’s governing documents, department’s policies, and as otherwise directed.
  • Document, track, and update architectural requests.
  • Conduct follow-up on application status or other items as needed.
  • Be able to easily recall and communicate architectural requests and the homeowner’s application details with the Design Review Committee (DRC) members and other Team Members.
  • Interact with homeowners regarding architectural inquiries, application results, and architectural processes.
  • Schedule and/or coordinate DRC meeting dates with homeowners, vendors, and the DRC in as needed.
  • Complete DRC meeting minutes.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of homeowner communication and architectural submittals.
  • Utilize technology as applicable to perform job functions.
  • Report any safety or hazardous items immediately to supervisor.
  • Attend team meetings, committee meetings, Board meetings, or industry functions as required.
  • Position is an onsite position generally Monday-Friday with two weeknights per month required for DRC meetings. Occasional weeknights and/or weekends required to work community lifestyle events (average 6-9 per year, schedule is given in advance at start of year.)
  • Maintain consistent and regular attendance.
  • Any and all other assignments as deemed necessary by the Board of Directors or supervisor.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Excellent customer service background/skills
  • Architechural or property management experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional representative of Talega Maintenance Corporation & GrandManors
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening
  • Collaborative decision-making, relationship building and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • High level of attention to detail+
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe and Power Point

• Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
• Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with homeowners, guests, supervisors, associates, and vendors. Must be able to communicate both on the phone and in person in order to resolve issues related to the business.
• Must be mobile enough to move around the office and during outside events, including walking on uneven surfaces and standing for periods of time.
• Ability to work with inside and outside environmental elements (noise, weather, etc.).
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Hours over and above normal office hours will occur, including evenings, holidays, and some weekends. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.

Pay and Benefits:
$30.00 to $34.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
